2008 Schedule of Events

The Fortuna Rodeo is a week-long family festival with something for everyone, beginning on Monday with a Chili Cookoff downtown and winding up on Sunday with the last of the Rodeo events. It's no wonder that Fortuna hosts the oldest and longest running annual rodeo on the North Coast!

Events have grown from three days of rodeo stunts, barbecue and dance to a week full of festivities, including a parade, games, street dancing and carnival. The community turns out all week to join in the festivities.

• Wednesday: Carnival, Main Street Kid's Games and Penny Scramble
   
• Thursday: Carnival, Junior Rodeo, Fireman's Games
   
• Friday: Junior Rodeo, Kidnapped Tourists, Carnival, Rodeo Contests
   
• Saturday: Pancake Breakfast, Slack Team Roping, Horseshoe Pitch Tournament, Carnival, Parade, Rodeo, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Cowboy Mixer/BBQ/Dance
   
• Sunday: Slack Team Roping, Deep Pit Barbecue, Carnival, Rodeo
