Fortuna Rodeo

It's not just the raging bulls and courageous cowhands; the Fortuna Rodeo is a week-long family festival with something for everyone. The rodeo committee works tirelessly to create fun activities that begin on Monday with a citywide chili cook off and end the following Sunday afternoon at the rodeo arena.

Come enjoy small town Americana. The good old days are still happening every year at the Fortuna Rodeo.Held in Fortuna since 1921, the Fortuna Rodeo has evolved into a fun-filled week of activities for the entire family that culminates in the California Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association (CCPRA) Finals.

The perfect summer weather lends itself to outdoor activities, and rodeo week is just that. Come enjoy small town Americana. The good old days are still happening every year at the Fortuna Rodeo.

President's Message:

On behalf of the Fortuna Rodeo Associations Board of Directors I would like to thank everyone for making the 2010 Fortuna Rodeo a success. We had a great week of sunny weather, fun events and spirited competition. We could not have achieved these results without the help of the Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department, Fortuna Chamber of Commerce, City of Fortuna and our wonderful sponsors.

Our appreciation also go out to the community at large, who participate, support and attend all the festivities, for without everyone’s involvement over the last 89 years, there would be no Fortuna Rodeo. Hope to see you all next year, as we celebrate our 90th year at the Fortuna Rodeo.
